GETTING PERSONAL
THE LADIES ROOM
COMING ON STRONG
TOUCH ME IN THE MORNING
Porn Star Sharon Mitchell is one of the most highly respected women to ever work in the adult film industry. She's done it all in hardcore during a career that's spanned three decades. Sharon Mitchell started out as a porn actress way back in 1975, and has seen the then-fledgling film industry become a booming video phenomenon. She's turned to directing and producing of late, but she can still turn up the heat on a set when she steps in front of the camera.
Sharon Mitchell's one tough lady, and she looks it, often coming across as quite butch indeed. She can be as soft and feminine as the role requires, though, make no mistake. Sharon Mitchell's high-energy sexuality always brings an element of reality and earthiness to any role she takes, crafting scenes of believable sensuality that are sexier than a room full of addle-brained blonde boob jobs.
Sharon Mitchell was elected to the XRCO Performers Hall of Fame in 1988 and appears in two Hall of Fame films, 'Barbara Broadcast' and 'Sexcapades.' Her outspoken efforts against censorship were recognized in 1993 by the Free Speech Coalition, who honored Ms. Mitchell with their Lifetime Achievement Award. A relentlessly experimental porn director, Sharon Mitchell currently is involved with Filmco's 'SMTV' line of dance-oriented porn, and continues to make provocative films that toy with prevailing notions of femininity and sexuality. Her best film of all may be that great 1987 cult film 'Maxine,' where her romping with Robert Bullock brought home the blistering bacon in a big way. With appearances in well over 300 features, Sharon Mitchell is an undeniable legend of the hardcore industry.
She received the award in 1983 from the Critics' Adult Film Awards for the movie 'Sexcapades'.
Sharon Mitchell received the award in 1984 from the Adult Video News for the movie 'Sexcapades'.
She received the award in 1982 from the Critics' Adult Film Awards for the movie 'Blue Jeans'.
She received the award in 1983 from the Critics' Adult Film Awards for the movie 'Night Hunger'.
