West Side Story meets James Thurber's War Between Men and Women via gay West Hollywood, as two gangs, the Tops and the Bottoms, battle for territory amid the back-alley dumpsters and the drifts of used condoms. Dino DiMarco is impressive as the arrogant Top who supposedly gets gangbanged by the Bottoms (why do we only hear about it, not see it?); Mark Andrews is surprisingly effective as the Top leader who, in between diddling his boytoy Jason Nikas, agonizes over whether to give up his ass to his ex-lover and rival, the leader of the Bottoms (Matt Pittman), if only to stop all this bloodshed. If it sounds rather ludicrous, it is -- but it's also rather hot, thanks to good casting and a genuinely sleazy atmosphere. On this turf, Bottoms rule!
